Drag Queen Event for Charity?
Im takin part in an event for a local charity where I will be in a contest with other men to see who can do the best drag queen!! I have all sorted for the appearance, ie the dress,Shoes and makeup, but Im looking for advice on how to come across!! Im not very confident and wouldnt usually do something like this as Im nervous in crowds but gonna do it anyways….Any advice on how to overcome that fear and how to act on the night!!
You’re probably right, cheers!! I actually do have female help! 2 girls helping with my appearance, but as i said I dont really have a problem with my appearance or walking etc, its the part of the interview and answering questions etc! Maybe a few drinks before hand might help!
My brother was in his school’s womenless beauty pageant and had the same problem.
I’m sorry you are not going to like this answer but there is only one way to conquer your fear and that means facing your fear. My brother was lucky he had several girls helping him. We would rehearse and rehearse. He had to practice walking in Heels and walking down the runway like a model. Of course he had to do this while fully dressed. Everyday we added more things to refine his outfit. When everything looked passable then we took him to the mall. You have to learn to be fearless and learn that it will not hurt you. It works better when you have a female coach. It took about two weeks of daily work to make this successful.
You need some female coaching.
