Some tips on what you should wear if you are in the market for Plus Size Women’s Clothing by Daryl Schmucker
It is not an easy task if you are a plus size woman trying to figure out exactly what clothes will suit your figure, and what sorts of styles and colors are going to compliment your body. This world is full of people trying to convince you that thin is beautiful, and you need to lose weight in order to look your best. You can still be happy with your plus size figure, and know that you can shop with confidence by following some of the tips below.
Choosing the right colors
Black or dark colors are the natural assumption for plus size women’s clothing. It really is not necessary to stick to this, and you can definitely have some different colors in your closet. With regards to jeans and pants, you probably should stick to a dark shade, but a pair of light jeans is not going to compliment your figure.
Much to the common stereotype, bright colored clothes can actually create a generally slimmer appearance especially when matched with something darker. A vivacious colored blouse with a pair of dark rinse boot cut jeans can be a very pleasing look. Try to avoid wearing prints, unless of course they are large patterned prints so as not to highlight any trouble spots. Solid colors are always a safe bet.
Accentuate just one part of your body
There will be one or more area of your body that you would like to highlight versus another, so go ahead and do it. It might be your slim waist, and if it is, go ahead and wear a fashionable belt over your sweater or dress and draw attention to this part of your body. If it happens to be your legs, then put on a slimming pencil skirt or something similar that comes down to just above your knees.
Cut, Pattern and Fit
The cut and fit of your clothes can be a make or break situation when it comes to how you look, and as it pertains to jeans or pants, look for a wide leg or boot cut style. It might seem like a good idea, but don’t buy baggy jeans, instead go for something form fitting since the boot cut is going to flare out at the bottom of your legs, and will add a nice dimension to your body. If you are shopping for business attire, a nice pin striped pair of pants is always a safe bet and will give you are more elongated look.
Vertical prints in solid colors for tops and skirts create a visually appealing slender look. Make sure your top shows some skin, either by going with a lower cut v-neck or scoop-neck, this takes attention away from other parts of your body. Your skirt should be long and flowing and come down to just above your knee. Go with either a vertical pattern or solid color for a sleeker look.
Selecting the right fabrics
Cotton, silk, and satin are all good fabric choices in plus size women’s clothing because they are lightweight, non clingy, and have a nice flowing look to them. You want to enhance the best areas of your body, and smooth out the not so flattering areas, and these materials will do just that for you.
